The MK114 MOD2 Primary Weapons Systems upper in 223 Wylde features 14.5" 41V50 barrel, 13.5" MLOK handguard, integrated front Picatinny rail sections, lightweight receiver, no forward assist, PWS long-stroke piston system and adjustable gas block.

Ready for installation of your favorite muzzle device or suppressor mount, this MK114 factory upper comes from the factory with no muzzle device. Unless you're going to be running this on a registered SBR or pistol lower, please be aware that your muzzle device must be pinned and welded to 16" in length per ATF specs. The PWS MK114 is one of the best piston uppers you can get in my opinion - build quality and reliability is excellent. Fortress Tactical has the best prices around, and Mike has great customer service. Purchased items a day or two apart, and I didn’t even have to contact them to combine my shipping. I have four recent PWS rifles. Two are 2020 BRN-180s, a 2023 Mk 218 in 6.5 CM, and a 2023 Mk 114 Mod 2 in 223.  All are fine rifles, and easily comparable to my LWRC M6A3, LMT, HK, FN, GWOT era Colt 6920, IWI, CZ Bren 2MS, and others. My perspective comes from three decades in the defense industry developing new weapons and seven years in the US Army.  While I'm not overly fond of proprietary components, I understand the process to enhance existing designs to make improvements. The 114 is the lightest AR-derived upper, with an excellent selection of components and a clean operating system. If I had to run out the door after grabbing only one rifle, it would be a PWS.
