*The selection of any aerosol defense spray should be based on the overall safety and effectiveness of the product, not the estimated number of sprays per unit. In the heat of the moment, a person may not realize the actual duration of spray discharge, and may mistakenly believe that remaining contents are greater than they really are. For marketing reasons, other pepper spray companies use smaller nozzle openings on their units. This practice reduces reduce the amount of formula discharged per burst, but allows them to say there's more "bursts" in their product. If we stop & think about what this actually means, here's the reality: 2, 3 or 4 ounces of formula is the same volume - regardless of the container it's in. The only way to get more bursts from a container is to reduce how much formula is being discharged.
